ABC Unified has extended school closure until Tuesday, May 5th. Although this is very disheartening, please know that we have launched our Online Learning at Home platform. Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, changes to the Grab & Go Meal schedule will begin. The following school sites will continue with this service until May 4th: Furgeson ES, Hawaiian ES, Melbourne ES, Niemes ES, Haskell MS, Artesia HS, Cerritos HS, Gahr HS, Whitney HS and our District Office Central Kitchen. Any child in the community 18 years old or under may pick up a meal at any of these locations. Grab & Go meals will be served curbside from 11:00am-12:30pm.
We are still excited to announce that we will continue with device distribution from 10am-12pm on Monday, March 23rd in the multi purpose room.

Hi Aloha Families! Here's what you need to know:
1. Meals are being served on Wednesday and Thursday from 11am-12pm in the MPR.
2. Electronic devices and hot spots are available on loan. These items can be picked up in the MPR on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-12pm.
3. Band Instruments that were left behind are available for pickup on Wednesday from 11am-12pm.
4. Our ONLINE LEARNING AT HOME program will officially begin on Thursday!

Meal Service Update:
Beginning March 17, 2020, Nutrition Services Department will package meal bags that have both breakfast and lunch meals in a bag to distribute at designated locations throughout the District. This program is available to anyone in the community who is 18 years of age or under, and all Adult Transition students are eligible participants. The student must be present to pick up a meal bag. All meals are free, even if the students are on paid status. Names or codes are not needed to receive a meal bag. Meal pick-up time will be from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.
The following 16 sites will serve meals:
• Aloha Elementary School
• Burbank Elementary School
• Furgeson Elementary School
• Hawaiian Elementary School
• Juárez Elementary School
• Kennedy Elementary School
• Melbourne Elementary School
• Niemes Elementary School
• Palms Elementary School
• Willow Elementary School
• Fedde Middle School
• Haskell Middle School
• Ross Middle School
• Artesia High School
• Gahr High School
• District Office Central Kitchen (12255 Cuesta Drive, Cerritos)
Meals will not be served for the next two Fridays, since all schools will be closed. Students will pick up a meal bag with that has four meals included on Thursdays (Thursday lunch, Friday breakfast, Friday lunch, and Monday breakfast).
The School District has determined that approximately 5% of ABC students do not have Internet service or a computer device at home. ABC's Online Learning at Home program requires that each student have access to basic Internet, and a computer device, laptop, Chromebook, or iPad.

As you are aware, our campus is closed beginning March 16th through March 27th. However, we are still here to support you by telephone! Call us at (562) 229-7825 during our normal office hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm.
On Monday, March 16th, we will be offering a grab and go breakfast from 8am to 8:30am for all ABC students and a grab and go lunch from 11:30am to 12:00pm for all ABC students. Meals will continue to be served to ABC students during the next two weeks; more details will be coming soon!
